Grace Community Church exists to impact the culture of central Baldwin County with the good news of Jesus so that people can:
KNOW (GOD):
- We want people to know God by coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus and entering into a personal relationship with God through Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
- We want people to know who they are in Christ, rooting their identity in who God says they are and has created them to be.
We want people to know how God has gifted them, equipping them for ministry and mission.
GROW (IN FAITH):
- We want people to grow in faith as they experience Christian community, study God’s word, pray, and worship together.
- We want people to grow in relationship with one another as we strive to follow Jesus together.
- We want people to grow in their giftings, being equipped to use them for the glory of God and the making of disciples.
GO (SERVE OTHERS):
- We want to equip people to go in service to others, taking the good news of Jesus to all they come in contact with, looking for where their passions intersect with the needs of those around them, and using their giftings to fulfill the Great Commission, making disciples of all nations.
Our Story:
Grace Community Church is a body of believers that has joined together for worship, study, prayer, ministry, and mission for over a hundred years in our community, first being founded as a Methodist church in 1921, the same year the city of Robertsdale was incorporated.
In 2023, we embarked on a new adventure, becoming Grace Community Church, a new expression of church in our community. We’re still Methodist, belonging to the Congregational Methodist Church, a denomination that holds Wesleyan theology, but also allows for local church autonomy.
At Grace Community, we’re not trendy or flashy, but we’re good at family. We’re a church that loves our children and youth, and are full of adults and families that pray for, support, and grow in faith alongside each other. We’re an active church, and love to have fun together! You are welcome here, in fact, we’ll save you a seat!
We are a church family that is growing, and is experiencing a mighty move of God together! We couldn’t be more excited about all that God is doing in and through the life of our church, and are seeking to partner with the Holy Spirit in news ways as we strive to reach the lost with the good news of Jesus and serve our community as the hands and feet of Jesus. Our church has a rich history in our community, and as we continue to submit to the will of God, trusting in his faithfulness, and responding in obedience, we have an even brighter future!
